LEADERSHIP STARTS LOCAL

Real community leadership doesn't begin with a campaign - it begins with years of showing up, listening, and doing the work. After a long history of service, I'm ready to take that commitment to the next level.

That’s why I am running as a candidate to be your next City Councillor for Scarborough–Rouge Park.

Over the past four years, I’ve served as President of West Rouge Community Association and as an advocate with Scarborough United Neighbourhoods (SUN), working to bring people together and strengthen the places we call home through advocacy across all levels of government.

Professionally, I serve as Executive Director of Centre 55 — a registered charity and vibrant community centre in East York. Every day, I work alongside residents, volunteers, and local organizations to support seniors, youth, and families with the services they count on.

For me, this work is more than a job - it’s a calling.

My family came to Canada as refugees, with little more than hope and a belief in the power of community. We spent our first year in shelters, unsure of what came next. But it was the kindness of neighbours, the support of public programs, and the encouragement of teachers and mentors that helped us build a new life.

I know how much it matters when a community invests in its people. I’m here because that investment made all the difference for me.

That’s why I’ve spent my career focused on service - and why I’m stepping forward now.

I believe we can build a city where:

  • Public services are strong and responsive

  • Young people feel seen, safe, and supported

  • Seniors stay connected and cared for

  • Families can afford to thrive in every corner of our city

If my story resonates with you - as a neighbour, as a parent, as someone who believes in the power of local leadership - I’d love to hear from you.

Let’s build a future that reflects the best of who we are.
